Introduction of turbocharger

The air intake and outlet intercooler system of a car engine with a turbocharger is generally composed of air filters, turbochargers, intercoolers and connecting pipes and other components.

The air delivery pipeline must be connected with a rubber tube and steel tube or a rubber tube and a blowpipe or a direct corrugated blowpipe. With the help of the good flexibility and vibration damping of the rubber or corrugated blowpipe, the pipeline layout and assembly can be facilitated, and the ability of the air delivery pipeline system to buffer vibrations can be significantly improved.

After the fresh air has been filtered through the air filter and pressurized by the turbocharger, the medium gas will rise considerably by compression and the temperature will generally reach between 150°C and 200°C. However, for engines with high boost ratios, the gas temperature can exceed 200°C or even reach 275°C or more.

The gas medium is cooled by the intercooler and then dropped to below 60 ℃, thus increasing the density of fresh air, so that the engine can suck in more air, and can spray more fuel, to promote more full combustion, to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, to improve engine power purposes.


Intercooler hose design and material selection ideas

3, in silicone rubber, acrylate rubber, fluorosilicone rubber, fluorine rubber and other materials with excellent high temperature resistance, the only material does not have good oil resistance for silicone rubber, but silicone rubber is the cheapest of these four materials, of which acrylate rubber, fluorosilicone rubber, fluorine rubber price is about 2 times, 17 times, 6 times of silicone. So in the closed structure oil and gas separation system in the intercooler intake hose in the rubber material if you choose fluorosilicone rubber, fluorine rubber, does not have the cost advantage, but acrylate rubber high temperature resistance of only about 175 ℃, can be used as a smaller exhaust volume of the engine.

4, take the polymer material modification and structured differential design is a very effective way. High-temperature and inexpensive silicone and excellent oil resistance of fluorosilicone rubber, fluorine rubber for blending modification, that is, the hose lined with oil-resistant rubber layer, the other parts of the silicone "fluorine outside the silicon" structure, to meet the requirements of the engine, while reducing the cost of the purpose.

Fluorosilicone polymer (FVMQ or FPM/VMQ or fluorine resin mixed with silicone, etc.) has not only the excellent high and low resistance performance and comprehensive performance of silicone rubber (VMQ), but also the better oil resistance of acrylate rubber (AEM). It solves the problem of poor oil resistance of traditional silicone hoses and poor resistance to high and low temperatures of AEM and ACM hoses and also meets the new structure of polymer products with the harsher and harsher conditions of use of intercooler inlet and outlet air connection hoses for automobiles.
