Silicone can be classified into two types: gas phase silicone and precipitated silicone. Gas phase silicone is superior to precipitated silicone in terms of environmental friendliness, adhesion, purity, lifespan, and high-temperature resistance. However, it is also much more expensive than precipitated silicone. The easiest way to determine which type of silicone is used in a finished silicone hose product is by examining the braiding method of its reinforcement layer.
