1. How to Distinguish the Materials Used in Your Braided Silicone Hose?
Silicone can be classified into two types: gas phase silicone and precipitated silicone. Gas phase silicone is superior to precipitated silicone in terms of environmental friendliness, adhesion, purity, lifespan, and high-temperature resistance. However, it is also much more expensive than precipitated silicone. The easiest way to distinguish which type of silicone is used in braided silicone hoses is checking the production process of its reinforcement layer. If it has a braided reinforcement layer, then it must be gas phase silicone! (Due to technical reasons, precipitated silicone can currently only use a winding reinforcement layer).
2. Is Your Braided Silicone Hose Really Made with Aramid Reinforcement Layers?
Although aramid reinforcement layers have the potential to withstand high temperatures up to 220°C, there are challenges when it comes to bonding aramid with silicone.
